Horizon Child Care Inc. has extensive experience offering high-quality child care services. Since 1987 Horizon Child Care has provided excellent programs tailored to the specific needs of each community it serves. Horizon offers before and after school care for school aged children as well as all day child-care. Currently Horizon Childcare offers programs at three different locations: Martin Luther King Jr Park, Burnt Mills Elementary and Rolling Terrace Elementary.
At MLK Park ("Jackson Rd") Horizon offers a before and after school program for school-age children and a whole day preschool program for 2-5 year old children. Horizon also offers a Summer program at this location creating a camp-like experience while always maintaining standards of high-quality child-care. At its Burnt Mills Elementary and Rolling Terrace Elementary locations Horizon offers before and after care programs.
Horizon Child Care has maintained an impeccable record within the licensing standards through the Maryland State Department of Education. Its preschool program is also accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education.
Through its preschool and school-age programs Horizon provides developmentally appropriate practices to meet the needs of all children at his or her level. Group leaders work together with parents and therapists or counselors and will make modifications to class schedules and routines as needed to successfully meet the goals of every child. At Horizon we are committed to working with each family to determine the best practices needed to accompany each child in his or her educational journey. We believe that in supporting and encouraging families we can create smooth transitions to the benefit of both child and family.
